Snow

I am no stranger to snow. I am also no fan of snow. I moved to Florida in part to escape snow. That said snow is pretty when it’s falling and you can watch it out your window from the warmth of your home. Or when it is freshly fallen and undisturbed. I think I will stick to coloring snow instead of living with snow though.

Tonight’s Xmas Magic Prompt was snow, if you haven’t figured that out yet. I am in love with the picture I colored. I used only colored pencils which is unusual for me. It is a skill I am looking forward to growing and experimenting with. Fountain pens will always be my favorite but there is a time and place for pencils in my life too.

I worked hard at doing more with this page. Trying to focus on blending and layering. On shading and full coverage. There are areas I made mistakes and areas that I wish I could redo but mostly I’m really happy with how this page came out. It’s cute and colorful and I love the way the snowflakes look. Even the one against the tree that I messed up!

This is a big part of what this challenge is for me, doing new things or trying to improve old skills.
