Daily Prompt – January 4, 2026

The greatest gift someone can give me is their time. Yes, material objects are lovely but finding the right one involves time so the real gift is the time. More importantly, someone spending time with me, focused time. Time without the distractions of the world, that is a true gift. We live in such a fast paced society with constant interruptions and distractions, that even when we are with other people it often feels like we aren’t. We spend so much time focused on the world around us or the thoughts inside us that we forget to be present for those closest to us. I am guilty of this myself. So, yeah, time is the greatest gift for me. Time to learn about each other. Time to build memories together. Time to just breathe and exist without pressure. When someone gives you their time, cherish it.
