Write about your dream home.
I could be cheesy and say I live in my dream home because I live with the people I love and home is where the heart is. In many ways this is true and I do love my actual house. It has a lot of the features I always wanted in a house. But is it my dream home? Not entirely.
I would love to be closer to the water. Now that’s definitely a dream part of a dream home as in reality living close to the water comes with risks and expenses that I don’t want. I also wouldn’t mind if we had a bit more distance between us and our neighbors. Not because our neighbors are bad or loud or even really noticeable, I just like when homes are spaced out a bit. It’s not bad here but it’s not my preferred either.
As for inside the home, my dream home would have a ton more closest space. It always seems that no matter how much closest space I have, it’s never enough. In the kitchen I would have little kick-out steps so I could reach the higher cabinets without having to set up a step stool. Being 4’8.5” makes everything too high and I just want to navigate my kitchen easily without it being obnoxious for the tall people in my life.
In my dream home, the garage would be neat and organized and always stay that way. You’d actually be able to get cars into it. We’d also have useable attic space because I’ve always thought that was nice and it was the one feature in my first house I haven’t had since.
Other than that, honestly I really do love my house. Sure we have a list of things we want to do to make it better or more ours but even if we never do them, it’s great. I get good natural light. I have a great view and lots of wildlife. It’s peaceful.
Yeah, I’m good here.
