Daily Prompt – March 12, 2026

The simple answer is yes but simple answers aren’t enough for a blog post are they? Also, isn’t this prompt a day early?

I am superstitious but not like in a serious way. Do I think that things go a bit crazy during a full moon or on Friday the 13th, absolutely. I worked in a hospital for almost a decade, I witnessed it first hand. There is truth behind not saying certain words in the hospital, like quiet. You never ever say it’s quiet in the hospital.

I have lucky numbers too. 3, 6, 7, and all multiples of 3 as well. I also happen to think 13 is a lucky number. But do I trust them to bring me luck, nah. I’m not playing the lottery with them or on those dates or anything like that. They are numbers I resonate with. I have 7 rings on my fingers. I have 9 holes in each ear. There are 6 bracelets on my arm. I have 15 tattoos. But I also have 2 other piercings and I wear 1 anklet on each ankle so clearly, not everything has to be a lucky number.

There are also lots of superstitions, I don’t believe in. Stepping on cracks is just that. Black cats are awesome.

Ultimately, superstitions are just ways to add a little fun and some explanation to things that happen in our lives. Much like the myths of days gone by.
