What’s a piece of technology you’re convinced will exist in 20 years?
Warning, I’m a Trekkie so everything I’m about to say is absolutely based in that. I think in 20 years we will absolutely have replicators like they did in Star Trek. I think they will exist for medical and commercial purposes. Provide food and clothes and other good as well as help replicate body parts, medicines, etc. Will they be that advanced in 20 years? Maybe?
I believe we will see this technology because of the progress we are seeing with 3D printing already. We have 3D printed cloth. I’ve seen 3D printed medical devices and research on 3D printed heart valves and the like. We’re already on the road to this process.
It’s kind of exciting actually. Sure, I wish we had figured out the transporters first but thats because I think of how convenient they would make life. Replicators are not only convenient but incredibly helpful in a society that is seeing increasing scarcity of materials and foods. Not to mention the medical progress it could unlock.
The future is gonna be interesting.
