Describe a positive thing a family member has done for you.
This is often a hard topic for me because of my complicated relationship with my family but thinking back and remembering that this doesn’t have to be recent or a family member who is alive. I can more easily answer this prompt.
My grandfather, my mom’s dad, taught me a lot about financial security and independence. He set me up with not only a good nest egg but the proper tools and knowledge to feel comfortable even in the most challenging economy. I would define myself as privileged in that regard. He made sure I understood the importance of savings and have money in reserve. I owe much of the success I’ve had with money management to him.
He was also my biggest supporter in all ways. I miss him every day. I am thankful to have his fountain pens as a way to keep him with me always.
