Daily Prompt – April 26, 2026

Well it you’ve been following along you know I do not like to discuss politics and I abhor small talk.

Honestly, it’s hard for me to articulate what I like to discuss. I sometimes struggle with the opinions of others. Not because they aren’t entitled to them or because they are wrong. No, it’s because I usually feel like when discussing those things they are trying to convince me that my opinions are wrong or invalid and that I should absolutely see things their way. I do not know if this is a me thing or an autistic thing. What I know is that it causes a lot of problems, regularly.

I love to info dump. I love to share knowledge, I just struggle with discussion. Discussion implies exchange of ideas and that has often left me feeling dull, dumb, and invalid. Maybe thats why I enjoy blogging. I get to share my ideas without someone else trying to tell me that my personal beliefs are incorrect.

So things I enjoy info dumping about? Well fountain pens and inks are an obvious one I think. My job is another. That one encompasses a lot. It could be the day to day things or it could be regulatory information I’m researching or who knows. There’s lots about my job that I get excited about. Other thing can be crafting or streaming. Anything where I’ve learned something new. As I said, I enjoy sharing knowledge. I love teaching people the things I’ve learned.

Maybe one day I’ll be better at discussing these things rather than one sided conversations but right now, talking to people in that manner is a challenge that I do not have the energy to face.
