If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I haven’t traveled enough places in the world to know if there is somewhere outside the U.S. I want to live. There are places I want to visit and some of those feel like they have potential for places I’d like to live. That said, the prompt says anywhere in the world which doesn’t preclude the U.S.
I never thought I’d live anywhere but the DC metro area but I always wanted to live in San Diego. I fell in love with it during a family trip when I was a teen. Perfect weather, the ocean near by. It felt like home the entire time I was there. I ended up in Tampa instead. Not far off but more humid and a worse reputation (at least the state of Florida). I still think San Diego would be a great place to live but for now my roots are firmly planted here and given my track record, we’re looking at about 20 years before another big relocation.
I also just want to close with the sappy thought that it doesn’t matter where I live as long as the people I love are there with me.
