What’s the funniest misunderstanding you’ve ever been part of?
I don’t know about funniest but this is the only misunderstanding I can think of at the moment that even qualifies as funny.
When I was a kid, I was at my grandparents apartment and they were having it painted. Now, I have a nickname that is reserved for family and very very few close friends. Most do not know this nickname and I’m not revealing it here. I will say it’s not cutesy like a pet name, it’s an actual name.
Anyway, my grandmother called out my nickname saying lunch was ready. The painter answered before I did.
Not really all that funny but it’s the best I got.
