Daily Prompt – July 23, 2026

I don’t know. I hate questions like this. How do you decide what the best of something so broad is? I mean I love our house and it was a great purchase but was it better than the new gaming laptop I got or the pair of pants I just found? I mean those things are all so drastically different. Add to that it says ever made, so you want me compare things that are fresh in my head to things I bought for ever ago? That’s virtually impossible. Plus there are things I’ve bought that might seem like they are great purchases now, the transatlantic cruise for next year, for example. However, since that cruise hasn’t happened yet, I don’t know if it will be good.

Ultimately, I think I have much better things to do than evaluate something that can change so quickly. I think it’s better to enjoy the things you enjoy for the reasons you enjoy them. Trying to say something was the “best ever” is limiting and likely to change frequently.
