Daily Prompt – August 10, 2026

This is kind of hard because America is a melting pot and I’ve done most of my traveling in America. I try to go to local restaurants over chains when I travel but that doesn’t always mean the cuisine is “local.” I am hoping to experience some really amazing Moroccan and Spanish food while on my cruise next year. Other cruises I’ve done were Caribbean and I will say I’ve had some fantastic Caribbean food but I couldn’t name a specific dish.

I think the thing that comes to mind the most, but it’s only traveling now that I’ve moved away from there, is Maryland Blue Crab. Yes, you can get blue crab other places, but the spicing and eating ritual behind eating crabs in Maryland is something special. I am probably biased as I was born and raised there.
