Daily Prompt – August 9, 2026

This is an easy one, financial literacy and responsibility. Our society would be so much better off if people learned about money and finances early on and had ways to practice budgeting. If we taught them the impact of credit and the choice to use it.

I was lucky growing up, my grandfather set me up for success and my family in general taught me good money management. Not necessarily perfect practices but enough to keep me from making dangerous mistakes. I have seen many people not so lucky struggle their entire lives to recover from avoidable decisions. If we taught these subjects to everyone, we would come closer to financial equity in society because regardless of the income, you would have the skills to be successful with it. Those who make lots of money are just as at risk of making dangerous mistakes as those who make little. The difference is how much room they have to hang themselves.
