Daily Prompt – August 24, 2026

There’s so many for me to choose from. If I had to choose right now, it would be the Cheshire Cat with quote. I’ve debated whether these are technically two tattoos because of the layout I want but I would say they are 1 for the sake of this post and my reasons for wanting them, The quote is “Imagination is the only weapon in the war against reality” I want this quote and the Cheshire Cat tattoo because it resonates with me as does the character. More importantly, I would choose them in this moment because I feel they are powerful reminders for me to retain whimsy and imagination in my life. That seems essential right now. Not just because in general the world kinda sucks but because I’m dealing with a lot of heavy thoughts. Self-doubt, overthinking, low self-esteem, and comparison all rob me of this ability to be whimsical and joyful. So much like the “Om” symbol tattooed on my wrist as a reminder to pause and breathe or some of my other tattoos that help me remember who I am or why I live life the way I do, I hope that this tattoo will remind me to let go and embrace imagination over the heavy thoughts.
