Daily Prompt – September 14, 2026

More and better mass transit. Tampa has virtually zero mass transit. There’s buses but even they seem fairly limited. There’s a trolly for Ybor and some water taxis for getting to like St. Petes and things like that but nothing that really helps around the city or getting folks from the surrounding areas to come into the city without driving and adding to the congestion. This isn’t just my bias from being a DC metro area native, the city itself acknowledges this is a priority. It’s also not a Florida thing, though it can feel like it because in general the state sucks at mass transit, relying on Amtrak rather than any kind of Florida rail system. I say it’s not Florida because Miami has better mass transit. The rest of the state just needs to catch up.
