What is your career plan?
Step one, stay employed. Not that I think that will be a problem but it wants my plan and thats step one of the plan. Step 2, finish this master’s degree. I’m so close but also so ready to be done. The funny part is that the degree has absolutely zero impact on my career. Step 3, take a leadership role in my department when one opens. This could come in a few different ways. My boss could leave or retire and I could get her job. I personally hope that doesn’t happen for a very long time. It could be that we expand the department and open manager positions. I take one of those and get to support the person or people who are coordinators under me. The last and most likely at this point is that I get more responsibility in my current role but no title change or anything.
Outside of that, I have some certifications I want to get but those aren’t musts in the plan, just nice to haves.
