Hit 5,000 steps today and drop your achievement here — we’re cheering you on!
This is not a blog prompt. This is ableist and condescending. You don’t know if someone is able to walk or if 5000 steps is with in their capacity. You don’t know what I’m doing with my day. What if I was on a train or a road trip all day. Also I don’t need the encouragement of strangers to do this if I chose to do it. Prompts like this make me want to break my streak but instead of doing that, I’ll post that its no ones business if I walk to day or not. How many steps I take today is immaterial to the purpose of this blog. Posting my achievement is never going to happen because we should be seeking to move away from external validation not towards.
Let’s do better.
